Moontel Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Moontel collects and uses personal data through the public website at moontel.net.

Last updated: July 2, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Moontel collects and uses personal data through the public website at moontel.net.

The public website presents Moontel, links to the Moontel web app and may collect limited information through contact or product request forms. The website itself does not sell mobile plans, process user payments, issue eSIMs, operate surveys or provide rewards.

This Privacy Policy applies to the public website, related email communications and website analytics.

The Moontel web app is a separate product surface. This public website notice does not describe all app account, survey, reward or eSIM provisioning data flows unless a product-specific notice expressly says so.

For the purposes of this Privacy Policy, "Moontel", "we", "us" or "our" means the Moontel project operator responsible for operating the website and deciding how personal data is processed.

  • device and browser information;
  • interactions with the website;
  • traffic source;

If we send you emails, we may process basic email communication data, such as:

  • email delivery status;
  • bounce status;

3.1 Signup and product communications

We use your email address and country to manage signup records, understand interest in Moontel by country and send product communications where permitted.

3.2 Product and launch communications

We may use your email address to send you updates about Moontel, including product news, app updates and related communications.

3.3 Internal analytics

Where website analytics is enabled, we use analytics data to measure website traffic, understand how visitors use the website, improve content and evaluate the performance of our public pages.

3.4 Website operation and security

We may use limited data where necessary to comply with legal obligations, respond to lawful requests, enforce our terms, protect our rights or handle user requests.

4. Legal bases for processing

Where the GDPR applies, we rely on the following legal bases.

4.1 Consent

Where consent is required or requested, we rely on consent for:

  • non-essential analytics cookies and tracking technologies, including Google Analytics where required;
  • marketing or promotional email communications where consent is required by applicable law.

You can withdraw your consent at any time.

For cookies and analytics, you can use browser controls and any cookie banner or cookie settings tool that is made available on the website.

5. Cookies and Google Analytics

The public website may use cookies, browser storage and Google Analytics according to its technical configuration.

At the time of this update, the public website does not provide a separate cookie settings tool.

Accepting this Privacy Policy does not mean that you consent to analytics cookies or tracking technologies.

Where consent is required, Moontel should obtain it before using non-essential analytics cookies or tracking technologies.

You can:

6. When we share data

We do not sell your personal data.

We only share personal data where needed to operate, secure and improve Moontel, including with providers that help us:

  • host and protect the website;
  • send emails;
  • manage signup and contact records;
  • provide analytics, where you have consented;
  • maintain technical infrastructure;
  • prevent abuse or security incidents;
  • comply with legal obligations.

These providers may process personal data only for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy and subject to appropriate contractual and data protection safeguards.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights, to prevent fraud or abuse, or as part of a future corporate transaction involving Moontel.

We do not allow your signup or contact data to be used by third parties for their own independent marketing purposes.

7. International transfers

Some technical providers used to operate the website, email infrastructure or analytics tools may process data outside your country or outside the European Economic Area.

Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as adequacy decisions, Standard Contractual Clauses, data processing agreements and other lawful transfer mechanisms under applicable data protection laws.

8. How long we keep your data

We keep personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.

In particular:

  • signup and contact data is kept until you unsubscribe, request deletion, or we no longer need it for product communications;
  • email suppression data may be kept to ensure we respect unsubscribe requests;
  • technical and security logs are kept for limited periods, unless longer retention is needed for security, legal or troubleshooting reasons;
  • analytics data is kept according to the settings of the analytics tool and your cookie choices;
  • correspondence with us may be kept for as long as necessary to respond to your request and maintain appropriate records.

You may request deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting contacts@moontel.net, subject to any legal or technical retention requirements.

If you are under 16, please do not provide personal data to Moontel.

12. Web app and product services

The Moontel web app may involve additional data processing, including account access, profile information, survey launches, survey completion results, rewards, device or eSIM compatibility information, eSIM provisioning, support communications and app analytics.
