Looking for a Saily alternative? First decide what you want to change: the way you pay for data, the security tools, or the ability to call and text.
Saily combines several features that another eSIM may not replace together. This comparison is published by Moontel and based on official product documentation—not claimed network tests or a paid ranking.
Quick answer: Compare Roamless FLEX for pay-as-you-go credit, Airalo for prepaid package choices, and Holafly Plans Unlimited for a recurring subscription. For a free starting point, compare Firsty’s ad-unlocked data with Moontel’s survey-earned data. If Saily’s security tools or optional number are why you chose it, check those features separately before switching.
What does Saily offer in 2026?
Saily sells fixed and unlimited data options and lets you add destinations to an installed eSIM. A reusable profile is therefore not, by itself, a reason to leave. Its official site also lists Ultra for recurring travel needs.
Its distinctive bundle includes virtual location, ad blocking and web protection. These tools are useful comparison points, but Saily says its virtual-location feature is not a substitute for the full privacy guarantees of a dedicated VPN. Read Saily’s security-feature scope.
Saily also offers an optional US phone number through its app. That is separate from simply buying data: check the calling plan and any services you need to receive messages from. Saily phone-number details.
Saily alternatives compared at a glance
Use the last column to decide what needs a second check. These are different product models, not a cheapest-to-most-expensive ranking.
| Option | Consider it when… | How you get data | Before switching from Saily |
|---|---|---|---|
| Saily | You value connectivity with included security tools. | Choose a data plan; other products have their own terms. | Check whether another Saily plan already solves your need. |
| Moontel | You want to start with free mobile data. | Complete available surveys successfully. | Prepare data before relying on it; rewards and availability vary. |
| Firsty Free | You prefer ads to buying a package. | Watch ads to earn limited cellular data. | Check sign-up eligibility, balance limits and speed. |
| Roamless FLEX | Your trips and data use are irregular. | Add purchased credit and pay by usage. | Compare destination rates, not just credit lifetime. |
| Airalo | You want to compare packages for a defined trip. | Buy a selected fixed or unlimited package. | Choose the exact allowance, validity and included services. |
| Holafly Plans Unlimited | You need an ongoing travel subscription. | Pay on a recurring cycle. | Check when billing starts, cancellation and usage conditions. |
If you want free or earned mobile data
Moontel: complete surveys instead of buying a package
Moontel is worth considering when your priority is starting free, rather than replacing every feature in Saily’s bundle. Complete surveys and get mobile data on a reusable eSIM. Your first successful survey needs confirmation before the eSIM unlocks.
This is not a fixed allowance you can assume will be ready at departure. Check what is available and prepare your connection before you travel. The Moontel survey journey explains the process.
Firsty Free: ads for small data blocks
Firsty offers another exchange: watch an ad to earn data. Its current free plan has eligibility, balance and daily earning limits. It suits lighter use, not an assumption of unlimited high-speed data. Our Firsty alternatives guide covers the separate decision of moving away from ad-based access.
If you want pay-as-you-go flexibility
With Roamless FLEX, purchased credit is consumed per megabyte at the destination’s rate. Its PAYG documentation says these credits do not expire. That can fit short, unpredictable trips without a recurring payment.
Before adding credit, compare the rate in every place you will visit. Keeping unused money for later does not guarantee that heavy usage will be cheaper. FLEX credit rules are not the rules for every Roamless package or promotion.
If you want fixed or unlimited prepaid data
Airalo’s global store lists fixed and unlimited options, as well as data-only and Data/Calls/Texts products. For a trip with known dates, compare the specific package with Saily’s offer for the same itinerary.
Look at when validity starts, what happens after any high-speed allowance and whether renewal is enabled. A plan described as unlimited still needs its own usage and hotspot checks. For the Airalo-specific decision, see our Airalo alternatives comparison.
If you want an unlimited subscription
Holafly Plans Unlimited is a recurring product, distinct from destination packages bought for individual trips. Its page advertises hotspot sharing and states that the plan starts on purchase and renews automatically.
That timing matters: buying far ahead can use part of a paid period before departure. Compare active months, included destinations, renewal and cancellation—not just the unlimited label. If you already use Saily Ultra, compare the whole subscription you would replace, including any benefits you actually use.
Security, phone number, hotspot, validity and reuse
Will you miss Saily’s security tools?
Do not assume that another travel eSIM includes the same protection. Saily’s ad blocking and web protection use DNS filtering; some ads and threats fall outside that scope. Decide whether you need those tools, separate security software, or simply mobile data. None of the alternatives here is presented as a like-for-like security replacement.
Do you need a number or just internet access?
Mobile data can run messaging apps without supplying a new phone number. Saily’s optional number supports calls and texts, but its help center warns that some verification services can flag it as VoIP. Its calling plans cover local calls, not international calls. Do not assume a bank’s verification code will arrive just because a number is included.
Check the particular service you need. Our guide to eSIMs with phone numbers explains the difference between data, app calling and number features.
Will a laptop share the connection?
Check hotspot support and any separate allowance for the exact product you choose. A phone’s tethering switch does not establish a provider’s terms, and “unlimited” phone data does not automatically mean identical use on every connected device.
What expires—and what can you keep?
Separate three things: the installed eSIM, a purchased plan’s validity, and unused data or credit. Saily lets you add destinations to an existing eSIM; Airalo supports top-ups where available. Roamless FLEX’s purchased credit and Moontel’s earned data balance follow their own no-expiry rules. None of these facts establishes unrestricted transfers to a new phone.
Where Moontel fits
Complete surveys. Get free mobile data on one reusable Moontel eSIM. Start without a credit card, then keep the installed eSIM ready for later trips.
The data balance you earn does not expire, so unused data can wait for your next journey. It remains a finite balance, not unlimited data. Survey availability and rewards vary. Before you rely on the connection, check your destination’s coverage and your phone’s compatibility.
Choose Moontel for that survey-to-data model—not because this page promises to replace Saily’s security bundle or optional phone number.
How to choose a Saily alternative
- Name the missing benefit. Is the problem paying for unused data, recurring billing, starting free, a phone number, or security?
- Compare the same trip. Use your real destinations, dates and devices. Headline country counts are not an itinerary check.
- Check the moment you need data. A purchased package, an ad-earned balance and survey-earned data require different preparation.
- Keep only features you will use. A bigger bundle is not better value if it solves problems you do not have.
You may decide to keep Saily and add a second data option, rather than replace it. Check your phone’s active-line support before changing the setup, and do not delete a working eSIM while comparing choices.
